The Stubbborn Eye Lids

I CAN'T SLEEP!!!! Infact, I'm typing in the dark right now cause Clarence is fast asleep(of cos la it's 4ish am)!

I'll be starting my journey to Cameron Highlands in like 2 hours and I haven't sleep at all!! Been twisting and turning the whole night on the bed but I just can't doze off. My eye lids keep spring-ing back to the open position everytime I try to close them.

Anyways, I'll be going to Cameron with my friends and their colleagues. Without my husband. =P It's just for the weekend. Hope everything's smooth and it WILL NOT RAIN. First thing's dangerous to drive and another is that we won't be able to enjoy that much if it rains.

Yikes! I've only been able to edit one small part of my Aussie's photo! A lot of BACKLOGS!!

Oh well, gonna enjoy Cameron first! Ciao~!

23rd July 2010

23rd July was the day Clarence and I made our marriage official.

And it was also Clarence’s birthday.

As most of you have already known from my Facebook, I planned a surprise for him after lunch on that day. I was more anxious about the surprise than the ROM ceremony.

23rd morning, I was at the Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara’s building at 9am to get a hand bouquet from my friend, Pamela. So sweet of her to make me one! If you’re reading this, thanks again! Didn’t want one at first cause I thought afterall, I’m not gonna be doing the ‘throw-the-flower-and-see-who-cathes-it’ session.

Me & the lovely hand bouquet from Pam

Sophia and Shyen was there at about 9am too as I ask for favour from them to be there early just incase I couldn’t make it on time to meet Pam who needs to head off to work after meeting me. And so we started taking some photos first in the lobby. Thanks Shyen for being the photographer!

Thinking that we could do the ceremony at 10am(not many people that day), we told everyone to be there by 9.45am including our witnesses. We didn’t want too big a gap from the time we booked for lunch at 12noon.

Of course, there are latecomers, BUT I really appreciate it that they made the effort to come. While waiting for them we went to the canteen to hang around and some had their breakfast there.

And of course photo session in between. =P

Everyone arrived and done with their breakfast a lil after 10am (I think). I kinda lost track of time that day. So we went in the registration office together....

.... and a short wait before the ceremony starts. Too bad Vyvyan had to leave for work before the ceremony could start. I feel bad in some ways.

I have lots of friends asking me if I’m feeling nervous. Well, OF COURSE I AM!

I DO

Special gift from both my sisters Elyn & Stephanie. Really know what I needed!

My girls!!

But I managed to pull it through in one piece. XD

And if you really look again in the photos you can see I look more and more tired after each photo. Smiled too much til the muscle on my cheeks are tired. It didn’t matter anyway cause I’m happy! And everyone is too (I hope)!

After the ceremony we headed to G Hotel for lunch together.

I was damn hungry cause I haven’t had anything solid earlier in the morning. You know, butterflies in me tummy.

I saw everyone quite happy with their lunch. And Vyvyan turned up for lunch! Thanks so much for making the effort V!

We didn’t take many photos. The photos below are from Stephanie. I guess we were too busy talking and EATING!

I’m so thankful to have such great friends! I know some of you took leave and some had to make arrangements to come. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Will blog on his surprise next!

Back from Aussie

I'm back home 3 days ago. Up to now I still feel tired.

I loaded my Aussie trip's photo from the camera to my laptop last night. Noticed there aren't as many photos taken when I was in China.

Talk about China's trip, I haven't even finish editing the 3rd day's photos which was myfavourite part of the trip! I was so busy preparing for my ROM and the surprise I had for Clarence that I didn't get enough time to edit the rest.

ROM...right the photos too...! Partially edited...couldn't finish in time before we left for Aussie. Only had like one day to pack our bags and as usual last minute stuff to get *sighs*.

Hopefully can finish the ROM set today then I'll get to the rest of China's photos...THEN Aussie's.

P-H-E-W!!!!

Of course not forgetting my blog...Lots to update!

'Clothing' for Instax

Last week, I got myself a Fujifilm Instax Mini 7S’ camera. Then I felt that my poor camera is too naked and white and that I might easily scratch it (mum calls me destroyer). Then when I saw that there’s casing for my Instax Mini, I immediately decided to get it. Don’t wanna scratch it too soon.

Nice eh? ;P

First Roll from Golden Half

Here you are, a few from my first roll. Using Kodak 400 film. Its supposed to be in half frames but the person who scanned it for me thought he was doing a favour. Oh well....

Beginning of the New Obsession

I kept talking about my new found interest in lomography but never seem to have actually posted something on it.

You can read about lomography *here*.

How did I find this new obsession? I heard about the term lomography years ago during my college days. Back then, I didn’t have much resource to further explore what it is all about. So I left it there and continued with whatever I had to do. WORK!

After four years, I started seeing pictures in friends’ facebook, of them holding some weird camera that somewhat looked like toy. Shy to say that I didn’t know how a lomo camera look like back then. What else after? Research on it la! Four years delayed and still wanna wait? No way!

Found the first online shop that sells lomo cameras, accessories and films. The Click Shop.

Not bad service according to review. I was so tempted to order and get my hands on one of them. Then I found out they have a few products in The Rooms (they let you rent a small space to sell your stuff), and I went to check it out. That was when I got my first lomo camera. A Golden Half Chelsea Maika Edition. Totally looked like a toy camera.

Sweet huh?

Did I mention you have to manually turn the film spool when loading it and after each time you snap a picture? Yes, you have to MANUALLY turn the spool. Not battery operated mah. Interesting leh..*hehe*

So that was how I got my first lomo camera. During end of April 2010. Thus, my obsession begins!

Happy with Half the Day's Errands

I woke up early today. In fact, most mornings I do get up early but I normally go back to sleep after Clarence has left for work. This morning I decided not to because I had to go out and run a few errands. Actually just one lah!

I need to bank in money for someone I bought films from. Yea, films for camera. Incase, you didn’t know yet, I picked up two new hobbies; Lomography and photography.

Another thing was getting a Yukata a.k.a. kimono from Queensbay. Gonna wear it to Bon Odori Festival this weekend. I hope it doesn’t rain or rain later in the night. I noticed every year’s Bon Odori rains. I’ve never been to this yearly event since they started a few years back. Didn’t really have that urge to go. Don’t know why. But this year, since a friend of mine says she’s gonna wear it to the event, I thought it‘ll be fun if I join in. *haha* More like I want to wear the Yukata.

Teaching customers how to wear the Yukata
It's easy to manage cos the obi is ready made
So I came home around lunch time. Felt good that I did something. Even though its not a lot. Otherwise I usually sleep in til 10 something or 11am.

Buffet Lunch Tasting

I’m looking for a place to celebrate our ROM after the ceremony at Penang’s Federal Building (if that’s what Bangunan Persekutuan is called in english). After considering a few places I thought that G Hotel is the best option I have at the moment, in terms of location, convenience, environment and food. Mum accompanied me to G Hotel to try the buffet lunch today since Clarence is working and mum had replacement holiday.

The buffet lunch is at the G Cafe (next to the lounge). They have international buffet from Monday to Friday at RM45++ per person. For those who love and appreciate wine or beer, just add Rm30 and get free flow of it.

Sorry for the bad quality of pics. Shot it using an old not-that-many-functions camera.

I love the dessert! XD

Oh, we even got 15% off our bill 'cause we paid using Citibank's credit card. I was told that same goes to other credit cards of OUB, AMEX, Maybank and HSBC.

I guess I might have the luncheon there afterall.
