Back from Aussie

I'm back home 3 days ago. Up to now I still feel tired.

I loaded my Aussie trip's photo from the camera to my laptop last night. Noticed there aren't as many photos taken when I was in China.

Talk about China's trip, I haven't even finish editing the 3rd day's photos which was myfavourite part of the trip! I was so busy preparing for my ROM and the surprise I had for Clarence that I didn't get enough time to edit the rest.

ROM...right the photos too...! Partially edited...couldn't finish in time before we left for Aussie. Only had like one day to pack our bags and as usual last minute stuff to get *sighs*.

Hopefully can finish the ROM set today then I'll get to the rest of China's photos...THEN Aussie's.

Happy with Half the Day's Errands

I woke up early today. In fact, most mornings I do get up early but I normally go back to sleep after Clarence has left for work. This morning I decided not to because I had to go out and run a few errands. Actually just one lah!

I need to bank in money for someone I bought films from. Yea, films for camera. Incase, you didn’t know yet, I picked up two new hobbies; Lomography and photography.

Another thing was getting a Yukata a.k.a. kimono from Queensbay. Gonna wear it to Bon Odori Festival this weekend. I hope it doesn’t rain or rain later in the night. I noticed every year’s Bon Odori rains. I’ve never been to this yearly event since they started a few years back. Didn’t really have that urge to go. Don’t know why. But this year, since a friend of mine says she’s gonna wear it to the event, I thought it‘ll be fun if I join in. *haha* More like I want to wear the Yukata.

So I came home around lunch time. Felt good that I did something. Even though its not a lot. Otherwise I usually sleep in til 10 something or 11am.

Flying to Guilin

To fly to Guilin, we had to fly from Kuala Lumpur. And the flight was 6.25am! So three of us flew in to KL on the day before and checked into Concorde Inn KLIA. That’s the most affordable lodging with the nearest to LCCT airport that we’re able to find. Been there a few times, so far so good until this time where Clarence booked the dates wrongly! To make matters worse, the receptionist attending to him is new staff and doesn’t know the policy and correct procedures. Thus, slows down in our check in. And we were sooooooo hungry!!!

We had buffet dinner at the hotel as that’s the only choice (as far as I know) but, I really enjoyed the dinner. Luckily! We went to bed at about 10pm as we had to get up at 3am. Mum fell asleep easily, Clarence was still busy with his work on laptop and I was twisting and turning on the bed. By midnight I’m already in dreamland. We woke up on time the next day and by 4am we were already checked out and waiting in the lobby for our transport to LCCT.

By 5am, we’ve checked in our luggage and sitting in McDonald’s for breakfast. Flight was on time. YAY!! XD

Half The Year Has Gone

Its already July. It means half the year has gone. So fast!!

What have I achieve during the past six months...? NOTHING! While everyone was busy working and working their way up(or at least towards their goal), I've been sitting at home most of the time! OK la count me lucky...but I cant help feeling a lil empty sometimes.

Earlier this year I WAS busy looking for a job. Went to quite a few interviews and when I finally got accepted at a MNC company, I turned it down. I thought I'm gonna be leaving for Aussie during mid-year mana tau plans tergendala...sighs! But I didn't regret giving up the opportunity. I get to spend time with my family, did things I never get a chance to do when I had a job and found my new obsession (photography and lomography)!

Got plus got minus la...

Looking back, I could've done more. I do wished I had. Another 6 months before the year ends. Lets just see if I'll make it better.

Back & Packing...again

So I was back to Penang on Wednesday evening. It was a great stay at Putrajaya Shangri-La...except for the event that happened when I first checked in. Love the relaxing environment..and they have bathtub that kinda overlooks a nice scenery. Wanted to go for the spa but their slot for couple room is fully booked and they have shortage of messeurs. Too bad.... :( They have an infinity edge swimming pool with nice scenery..again..but i don't swim. Ugh! Will definitely choose to stay again if I'm ever going there again.

Will upload the photos later on. Cos now i need to go pack for Guilin, China. Flying to LCCT tomorrow to stay one night and off to China on early Monday morning.

Arrived in Putrajaya

In Putajaya now. Checked in Putrajaya Shangri-La yesterday. Clarence got this award from the ministry and he had to attend this award ceremony. But its not open to public and they're not allowed to bring family. Which is why I'm stuck in the room right now, blogging. Doesn't sound too bad right? I'm not a fan to formal speeches, you know..

Yesterday's schedule was kinda tight. We landed at KLIA around noon. Then rushed to makan. We didn't know what to get, so I suggested the most common one...McD! One thing I hate is to walk from one end to the other and KLIA is not small! By the time we reached the hotel, its already 1PM. He had to be at the venue for rehearsal at 2PM.

I notice the door lock didn't seem to be working so I thought I'd just latched it. A moment later, I was enjoying the tv when I suddenly heard a loud sound from the entrance. Seems like the housekeeping person was trying to come in to replace my hairdryer and I guess he thought no one was in. Luckily I latched the door.

Then, I checked the doorbell and it WASN'T WORKING! Nowonder la....! Technicians came after complain made and couldn't repair the lock as they needed to replace it with new one. Requested to change room and got it. Hee!! I wouldn't like that kind of surprise..! No girl left alone would like that!

Me Afternoon

Why is it that Penang's bookstore so slow in getting the latest magazines? I mean not all magazine but a few of the one I monthly look forward to. Sighs...kinda disappointed when i couldnt find Digital Camera Magazine in Borders.

So I ended up preparing for my tea time.

My New...erm..hobby?

Recently I found a new interest...LOMOGRAPHY. Got my first lomo camera in April and been into it ever since. I've always love photography but never got a chance to venture into it that much. Earlier was because I was still in college and film don't come cheap to me. Then when i started working in 2006, I managed to buy myself a compact digital camera which is Nikon P2.

After that, i was caught up with some stuff that i nv really have the time to go out that much. Infact, not much time for anything at all. Hardly have time for myself. Didnt exactly what I want until this year. Where i actually have the time to sit down and think about alot of things. And lucky to be more financially stable to be able to let me explore in my interest.

Yea I'm talking abt 'investing' in my hobby. Nikon's D90 is the most expensive camera I bought for myself. I've always wanted a DSLR but never had the luck to own one. I'm still playing around experimenting it. I've had a SLR back in college but that was film camera. Forgot all my lessons that i've learned on using a SLR back then. =P

Hope i could fermiliarize with it soon. At the same time, I'm still into Lomography. Gotta be occupied for a while. Hee!!

OKOK! I got diverted. I intended to actually blog about lomography and my discovery in this entry. Maybe I'll do it in my next entry. Dont wanna sound too long winded in an entry.

One Year

W O W !!

I suddenly feel like altho its been only a year but it seems like a lot of things happend.

During my last few entries, I was a jobless person (I still am), looking forward to my first time to China (still am right now but its my 3rd time!). Heeee!

Lets see...my last update was 25th May 2009...I was already getting lazier to update then. I'll try my best this time. :P

Some MAY Updates

MAY....did a few things.

During the 1st week I was down in Shah Alam and PJ for some official reason. I went to 20 places ard SA and PJ in 2 days. Damn tiring! Luckily manage to get a cab that's quite reasonable with his hourly rate. Else I cant imagine waving down cabs for 20 times! Which is also impossible considering i only have 2 days.

The month of May also marks the anniversary of my grandparents' passing. Two years already. Grandpa was on 1st May and grandma was 24th May, both in 2007. Tough year. Grandpa has got heart prob. Other than that he's healthy. Despite being in ICU, he's still very aware of anything around him right til the very morning he passed away.

After grandpa left us, i resign from my job at PISA so that i could take care of my bedridden grandma. ( I live and was brought up by grandparents) I could not send her to the senior's home as i dont want her to feel abandoned. She left us on the 3rd week i was serving my 1mth notice. I guess she must have missed grandpa too much. She said she keep seeing him after he passed away. She passed away in her sleep. One morning we woke up and found her no longer breathing.

Both me and my mum went to put flowers on 1st and 24th May.

I MISS THEM SO MUCH!!

I went to get a haircut too. Cannot stand too long, hot and my hair kept dropping!

Movies

I have been so lazy to even open up my laptop these days. So lagging in updates here and FB. Seldom can see me in MSN too. Been going out a lot and busy re-organising my house.

On the very first day i stopped working, I went to watch Confession of a Shopaholic & Hotel for Dogs with Ee Zhe. 2 movies in a row. Haven't done that in a looong time. And it was quite a while since i been to movies with her. I remember we frequently go for movies at Gurney after class or after assignment submission.

Confessions of a Shopaholic is okay.....

I prefer Hotel for Dogs. I cannot imagine how much effort they put in for this show. Training the dogs needs a lot of patience. I definitely give the movie and ppl behind the scene thumbs up.

Then abt a week after, i went out with two old buddies from school(Seow Pei & Huey Shyen). Had brunch at Winter Warmers and then went to Popular Bookstore for a while. Shyen had to leave early. So me and Seow Pei decided to go for Fast & Furious 4. The sound effect was GREAT!

It feels good to go for movies. Hardly went for movies when i was working. O-Kay...I better go do some housekeeping now. Lots of stuff to get rid of! Laterz!

Tired Neh~

I jus got back from hip hop class. This is the first time i went to the class at New World Park since they moved there on 1st April. Mei Mei, Pei Chin and few others already quit cz too far for them as they're working hours finishes after 6pm. But still ok la, got few other 'pioneers'. Hahah!

As i was looking at their blog at danzityproductions.blogspot.com, i saw newly uploaded videos..Tengok tengok is our class eh! Wah lau weh! Luckily din see much of me. More to Sean the instructor. Abo so memalukan! If dance pro liao nvm la..ini baru begginer neh~

Today's class was fun. It felt more tiring than usual, i dont know why. But i enjoyed it tho =D

It's now official

My resignation was being officiated yesterday. Yea, one week before I leave. My contract says I only need to serve one week notice. I voiced my resignation to my superior and boss about a month ago. I knew if i were to leave immediately one week after, a lot of things will not be done properly and knowing how much workload my superior has, i couldnt just throw everything back to her and leave. Afterall, she treated me very well and taught me a lot. AND not forgetting she's a very VERY patient person.

I do feel more relieve BUT at the same time, as the date draws nearer, I feel excited and happy(finally can do wat i like), yet nervous, sad and worried (becos no more fixed income).

Blog Skin

Oops! Was fooling around with some blog skins. Now i'm back to the plain template. Incase you didn't notice, some of my elements and gadgets' missing! Have to set and arrange them again!

Oh well, at least i learnt some things during my attempt to change the blog skin.

It's interesting to experiment and see how your blog looks like when in a different template. However, I havent found one that i really like yet..

Heavy morning

This morning it was so hard for me to get up and prepare for work. I know many mornings are like that. But this morning i felt particularly heavy to get up.

Ever since I was sick last week, my shoulders and neck weren't behaving themselves. I would have a very sore feeling on 'em by the end of the day.

I usually would go for a traditional chinese massage nearby my place. It doesnt cure for good but at least it gave me temporary relieve. It's very painful tho. Have to bear with it if i want to feel better.

Another thing was that i really had no heart coming to work. Sheesh! Terrible me! Serve one month notice nia also want to complain so much. I cant imagine those of my friends that need to serve notice until 3 months! Well, supposedly I only need to serve one week notice but looking at the condition, I don't think it's enough time for them to get a replacement.

I'm so good right for giving them more time. Hahaha!!

Anyhow, I'm counting the days down. Cant wait!!

Back to work

I'm back to work today. Nth much piled up thanks to my colleagues. Anyways, din haf much to do from now on. Another colleague taking over my job n training hers to do mine.

Will on my own from April onwards. Happy but a lil worried at the same time.

Will update my photos in facebook n friendster soon. Hopefully tonight. Haven't filtered out yet. Was too tired on Monday night itself when i got back. Then Tuesday had to run some errands and only manage to load the photos to comp at night.

Most of my photos at Terra-Cotta's blurred. The pits were too dark and i don really haf a user friendly cam. Managed to buy some postcards from the souvenir shop. At least can still see something la right.

Hopefully can upload them all by tonight!

Decision made!

Yikes..I finally made that decision after much consideration. In the beginning i did feel a lil worried. But i really hope it can go well...no risk no gain right? Many frens supported my decision. Many thanks to those who did!

I think tmr will be the day i make official announcement abt it. I need to take that final step!

Can't wait!

I cant wait for Sunday!! Going to Pulau Jerejak with some old friends. I think more than 10 of us by now. They have games and activities there...long time since i have those kind of outing. It'll be a day trip. RM50 for ferry, one meal, n few games. Kinda worth it. Hope the weather is fine on that day =P

Slowing down again...

Oops! Slowing down in my blogging again. Been too tired after work to go home and look at computer screen again. Well, haven't been doin much stuff since I finished my exams. Let me see...umm..



Dec 14-Finished last paper at abt 4 something. Went for The Day The Earth Stood Still movie at GSC Gurney. We went for Premiere Class cos normal seating was fully booked. Really wanted to watch this movie since i saw the sneak peek, so 'bo pian'. Paid RM16 per seat. I dono y..but I thought it was a movie abt natural disaster. Turns out it was more like alien invasion. Well, not practically invade but...i dono how to say...but it wasnt so bad...


Dec 21-Mum got baptised. Was at church during morning session. Then afternoon at Taman Iping for a small Christmas celebration with Taman Iping members. It was in mandrin so i kinda got lost abt what pastor was preaching abt.

Dec 22- Back to my usual work! Evening got hip hop class. Kinda lost touch a bit. Stopped 2 wks n din practice much. 3 ppl went for trial today, a mother(age is not a barrier) with her 2 daughters. So okay la we thought they were new so din bother abt them. Jus focus our steps. Mana tau when instructor ask one of the daughter(teenager) to dance with him...WAH LAU WEHHH!!! Super good! Almost no flaw at all....can go advance class liao la...don join us in foundation. We felt so belittled! Kek sim nia...Hope they join another class...
